REON'S WORK...
So as you know Reon works as a lifty on Blackcomb mountain and he took the camera up one day to get some shots. There is no mountain biking on blackcomb side only Whistler side but up the top there is a snowboarding/ski park that is open until end of August. They get so much snow over winter up the top that it doesn't melt in summer so they make a park out of it and all the rich kids go into a programme called the 'camp of champions' which is kind of like a week long holiday programme where they have coaches and ski for a solid week. There are three parks up there but only one is open to the public and the other two is only for the 'camp of champions'. Blackcomb is also more of the sight seeing side so Reon loads tourists and skiers.

He starts at 7am so this shot was taken when he got to work as the sun is peaking over the hill. This is the chair that everyone catches up.

We see bears ALL the time! This one was right under the chair lift.

Gorgeous! Even though there is snow it still gets really warm up here.

This is one of the parks up the top. Only good riders are aloud up as the parks mainly consist of big jumps, rails and boxes.

CAMPER NEWS - for anyone interested in what's been happening around here lately.

• Rene has a job in Pemberton helping build Mark and Sheryl's house (ppl we meet with.) He starts work at 7am so leaves the camper by 6.30am and doesn't get home till around 7.30pm so long days for poor Rene. He is also working in 30C+ weather!
• Reon is back on his bike with his back/rib injury semi healed
• Andrea had the first tummy bug in the camper a couple of days ago - not fun!
• Janelle has some casual cleaning work at a hotel for the time being
  
• Priscilla (Dan millers girlfriends twin sister from Aussie) is coming to stay with us on Thursday for a week
• We're going on holiday next Monday - woop woop! Not that our life at the moment isn't a holiday but we are heading to the Okanagan and then onto Salmon Arm convention
• It is a million zillion degrees here and the camper is our very own sauna.

SUMMER!
I think summer may have finally arrived - well for today anyway! There isn't a cloud in the sky and it is hot hot hot!
The other day Janelle and I went to the grocery store and found this little treat! A 10lb box of strawberries for $9.90!


The best meal one could ever have - pancakes, strawberries, banana and chocolate ice-cream!

It was Canada here on July 1st.Reon and I had to work but Janelle and Rene went to the local Whistler parade. There where lots of different activities and things happening all day with a fireworks display at the end of it.

PEMBERTON!!
Pemberton is a little valley about 1/2 hour out of Whister and it's where we go for Wednesday night and Sunday morning meeting.
You drive over a mountain range to get there from Whistler and its a gorgeous drive!
We stopped half way to take a pic.

We recently visited there grocery store and found the local produce a lot cheaper then in Whistler. Mmmm yum...
