CAMPER TRIP #1
So we took the mother ship on her 1st semi long trip and she proved to be in top notch condition (in other words she didn't break down once!) It was a 6 hour trip and a test to see if she is fit for Alaska which she passed with flying colours!
On the 1st day we drove up to Lilloit and over to Kamloops where the boys went riding - of course:) We then went to V... and stayed in a five star Walmart car park (a great parking spot with wok'box providing us unlimited internet for the night!) We then went onto tween lakes for the day where Wayne and Roxy & little Kingston meet us for the afternoon and we convoyed with them later to convention.
Salmon Arm was the convention of choice and it was awesome as convention always is. Lots of little different things naturally but the spirit was the same!
Some of the differences where - The main being that most people bring trailers so there is no mens/womens areas - Reon and I felt a bit naughty not saying goodnight to each other!
Since everyone has trailers and its so hot they all go back to there trailers to socialize so apart from in the dining shed you don't get to see a lot of others unless you're invited to there trailer.
We got a serving job and you don't just do one setting but breakfast, lunch and dinner! (Jess, I got up every morning! I might not have been awake but I was there!:0))
The food is amazing! For breakfast there was the usual porridge (it did have cranberries in it though) scrambled eggs and potato hash and at dinner there was spagetti bolegnaise with ceaser salad, chicken pasta, beef stroginoff on rice and an endless amount of pies - blueberry, apple and cinnamon, rubarb, strawberry, pecan, pumkin, fresh apricot you name it they had it! Oh and also bowls and bowls of delish cherries, I think we all put on at least a couple kgs!
They also have a thing called 'night lunch' which is like our supper. They set up a table full of food - crackers and cheese, watermelon, cherries, biscuits and muffins! We got very spoilt!
On the way home we stopped off at Kamloops and had a night with Kent and Lyndel (and another bike ride.) So we are now back "home" in Whistler back in our Lot #4 by day and at night you will find us tucked away on our little street!
Choosing photos was so hard! Hope I haven't bombarded you with to many!
Enjoy! xo
We found this random water fall flowing under the road on our way up to Lilloit.
We walked into this gorgeous lake!

We are way, way behind with the blogs, e-mails etc, as we have been so busy getting ready for our convention and had 12 extras during convention and now getting everything back in order. Harold and his 2 daughters and their families stayed with us and we enjoyed them so much. Always glad for them to come. Sounds like you all have been to convention also.
You have such beautiful pictures and we enjoyed looking at them. Don't you need more people in your camper. :-))
Love your blog. Edna
