MAITEE INDIAN BAND...
The other night I went with Lillian, Charlene, Jorden and Karma to a tribe gathering. Jorden and Karma are half brother and sister and there tribe is called the Maitee tribe and every so often they have a get together. It was kind of interesting, I thought there would be all really dark Indian ppl but there was lots of white people. Apparently in this tribe there is a lot of half Indian half french people so they are a lot whiter, where as Charlene's Indain band are pure Indian.
Anyways here are the pics...

There where heaps of people there!

A guy playing... it looks like a recorder?!

There was a table full of crafty things for the kids - Karma, Jorden, Charlene...

I made Karma a headband with feathers! Jorden and Karma both wore there indian band sash..

A couple played songs about there ancestors....

Haha I got a photo with an Indian!

The maitee tribe colours and history books...

MONAY NIGHT CROCONO

They have a game over here called Crocono - I'm not even going to begin to try and explain the rules.... Every Monday night people come to Ed and Lillians to play it, Reon goes but it was my first time this past Monday. This is what it looks like...

You rotate around the room playing each other...

This is what the board looks like...

After the game Lillian feeds everyone supper - but I didn't get a photo of the delicious lemon pies she made, slack I know!!!

That is interesting, I suppose each tribe has their own kinds of music and art. Is this in Canada?
Thanks for the pitures. We had snow, rain, thunder, lightening and wind last Friday. I don't think I have ever heard it thunder and lightening during snow.
Love ya
