HAINES
Hanies was another cool little town. We meet some of the friends for breakfast, browsed around the shops and then went out to a river where the bears feed on Salmon. This was one of the highlights of the trip watching grizzlies catch Salmon!
Here's the pics...
Some cool old buildings...
Love the sunflowers!
This is a hammer museum, the whole museum is about hammers from when they first started using them till today. It was closed for the season unfortunately, it would have been neat to check it out...
Bob and Lita - the friends we meet for breakfast...
Scenery shot...
Another marina!
Some fisherman arriving back at the dock..
Haha!
A bear playing peek-a-boo in the right hand corner...
Watching the bears from the roof of the camper...
It kind of gives you the hebbejebbies when the mama bear looks right into your eyes!
Eating Salmon - the cubs were just too cute!!
I love the little one sitting on the rock just chilling out!
This one is a sequence of the little cub getting off the rock and face planting into the water!
This was the river that you drive along - so pretty. Lots of eagles around as well!
BEAR ZONE!
This mama bear led her cubs across the river...
Time to go! The fisherman got out of there pretty quickly when they saw she was coming over!
Their awesome swimmers!
Once they got a bit further away we got out of the camper to take pictures... we still made sure the camper wasn't to far away though :-)
