-VANCOUVER CITY-
Reon and I caught the sky train into the city with our bikes the other day and biked around Stanley Park. Its a real pretty city with a walk way around the outskirts like Wellington. We look forward to coming back in the summer.

Reon snapped his chain and had to walk back from half way round the park!

...OH CANADA...
Once landed in Vancouver we found ourselves surrounded in snow peaked mountains and a few degrees colder then home. We stayed in Vancouver for a couple of days and then tripped up to Whistler to see Janelle and Rene which was radically exciting! We arrived at 10am in the morning, changed into our boarding gear and hit the mountain. It was pouring with rain at the bottom of the mountain but snowing heavily at the top. After running round the car park and poaching other ppls tickets we headed up the mountain. It seemed like we where the only ones on the mountain but each run we did was in fresh powder!

Rene and Janelle had to go back to work for the next few days until there next day off so Re and I explored Whistler and slept in the truck to save ourselves a few pennies. Whistler is an awesome little town which we would love to live in, in the summer.

Eating breakfast in the truck after a blissful nights sleep on the back seat.

The base of the mountain ends in the town.

Ski's and boards lined up in the village.

Over looking whistler village...

1st encounter with a grizzly bear!

Mmmm yum - toffy apples!!

I caught these owners and there dog heading off on there motorbike and side cart - cute!!

Winter tree's in whistler...

On our way back to Vancouver from Whistler we stopped so I could take a few shots of the scenery....

SAYING GOOD-BYE AT THE AIRPORT....

Do you think we have enough stuff?

Levarnee drove all the way down just to see us off!!

Our last couple of weeks at home flew by with us rushing around tying the last minute things down before we set off for our trip. Packing up and leaving 52 Galway Street was I must admit not the saddest thing we have ever done, although it has been a good little 2 halved house for our 1st year. We moved into Mum and Dads the week before and having Mums cooking and our bedroom, kitchen and toilet in close proximity was nice!!
