Life is ticking along here, I haven't been updating the blog as there has been more work then play happening so not a lot of photos taken. We are still waiting for summer to arrive, apparently this weather is not usual for this time of year and we heard recently that it might not warm up until August!! The summer fruits are starting to arrive though which is exciting, here is a few photos of a watermelon we brought a couple of days ago. Delish!!

Reon's birthday came and went. We both worked so decided to go out for dinner and out of all the places we could have eaten at he picked Macca's!! He just couldn't see past a big mac...

FLYING BY...
Our days are flying by here. We now all have our season pass for the mountain so a lot of riding is happening. Reon takes the cake for the first ingury of the season, he tried taking out a tree! We thought he had broken some ribs for a while there but it seems he is recovering so maybe just some bad bruising. (Thanks for the arnica and anti-flamme mum and heather - it is coming in handy!) Rene is still working at the agency on and off when they need him and Janelle is picking up odd jobs here and there. Reon has been training for his job this week and just got his schedule today so he is working Wednesday through to Saturday with Sunday, Monday, Tuesday off which is perfect as I am working those same days with the others off as well.
Anyways here are some photo!

THE LAST FEW DAYS...
Here are some pics of the last few days...
Enjoy! xo

Meet Sammy the Squirrel!

The sun peaked out from the clouds for one day so Janelle and hit the beach! Its crazy when the sun is shining it is like a summer's day in NZ and when it's not it's like a winter's day in NZ.

We meet with this couple and there son on Wednesday and Sunday morning in Pemberton which is 35min out of Whistler. They are the nicest people and are always having us over for yummy meals!

The view from their lounge

I love this seat and flower outside their front door
-REFLECTIONS-
So this morning I went out and took some photos of the reflections in all the puddles that are around the place. It's fun looking at the puddles on different angles and finding different objects reflecting in them.

The camper

Crates

Lamp post

Barbed wire fence

Man hole (obviously not a reflection but in a rather large puddle)

FOOD...
So in our unemployed state we were trying to eat as cheaply as we could and since finding jobs we still are as we are wanting to save for a few different trips we have in mind. The price of food over here is about the same back home except for the fruit and vege's, we have found they are more expensive. I LOVE fruit and vege's so I am finding it quite hard to stay in the confines of cheap eating and cooking without them. Janelle did however find this recipe and it was so good I thought I would share it with you. Carrots are the one vege that is cheap over here so we brought two bags of them and this recipe was delish!

Enjoy! Xo
