WAYNE ROXY & KINGSTON, SUMMERLAND
We came to Wayne and Roxy's looking for work for the winter season and we were in luck! We both got work at the local ski hill here called Apex which we are so excited about! Work doesn't start until around November 20th so we are going to house sit Wayne and Roxy's house while they are in NZ (the lucky things!!!)
A few photos of what we have been up to...

Walking in the morning!

Peachland!

Walking in Peachland...gorgeous day!

We went to an ice hockey game - The Penticton Vees vs the Vernon Vipers!

Reon watching the game...

Wahoo!

Ahaha this lady was obviously a big fan and maybe a bit crazy! She kept stamping her feet, banging on the glass and yelling when ever the ref blew his whistle. It was nearly more entertaining watching her then watching the game!

We went out to Ed and Lillians (Wayne's parents farm) and went quading!

Horses and cows on the farm!

Out for dinner with the Ripleys!

When we got work Lara, Mike and the kids came over for a celebratory desert!

Lara's little girl Laska and Kingston!

Girls night out!! Roxy and I went out for dinner with Roxy's sister in law and cousin to celebrate there birthdays in November.

KAMLOOPS
We stayed at Kent and Lyndels while we sorted out the camper and while we decided what we were going to do next. Dan flew back to NZ, Janelle and Rene brought an old van and set out for San Fransisco while Reon and I headed to Wayne and Roxy's in Summerland near Kelowna.
Here are a few random shots of what we got up to at Kent and Lyndels..

How did this all fit into the motorhome?!?

Sad faces as we say good-bye to Dan...

Giving the camper a wash! (Anyone want a motorhome?!)

Kents Mum and Dad had us over for Sunday lunch...

Janelle, Lyndel and I (Lyndel was nearly due in this photo and she has now got a little girl!)

Rene and Janelle leaving for San Fran - a very very sad day!!!

THE LAST ALASKAN POST...
Well this is the final post of our trip back 'home' to Kamloops. I hope you've enjoyed it coz we surely did!! Please feel free to leave a comment if you've been following our trip and let me know what you thought of it!
Andrea x

Bob and Lita picked us up from the ferry and spoiled us with lunch! This is them in what they call Bob's "head" office!

We drove down by the river where we saw all the bears last time but we didn't spot any. We did get quite a few pictures of this eagle though!

Funny story: When we arrived in Haines the first time the only shoes Dan had was his jandels and chucks so he brought a pair of gumboots before we left for the southern Islands as we knew it would be cold and rainy. He had them for only a couple of hours and he lost one of them! We went back to all the spots we could remember we had stopped at and looked but no gumboot so he traveled through the islands without them. When we came back down to the river the second time to look for bears before we left to head home Reon spotted Dan's gumboot lying on the side of the road!!

On the road again...

We stopped in at Whitehorse to these friends place. As you can see he is a very keen hunter and has every kind of animal head on his wall!! We didn't get to meet him unfortunately but his wife showed us around...

A cougar and a deer... this cougar has one blue eye!

Dan and his love!

They have this enclosure outside with so many different animals...

We came across this lone bison...

and then a whole herd of them down the road!

Playing cards, we were all so speedy at speed at the end of this trip!

A beautiful sunset...

Dan doing his favourite job!

On the second to last night we got our first flat tyre!

Bacon and Eggs!!

Jasper National Park...

We hadn't been in Jasper National Park long before we came across this bull elk...

Reon...

Jasper park was so pretty!

Bambi...

On our travels we picked up this charcoal BBQ that was outside someones house with a free sign on it. We used it for the first time on our last night! :)

On our last day we treated ourselves to a cafe coffee...

We made it back to Kamloops in time for our first thanksgiving dinner at Kent and Lyndels house. It was delish!!!
